I have the honour to forward herewith report on Refuer. Destructors for the Hong Kong Government, together with the balance of my expenses in connection therewith. The report would have been cent in earlier, but that I found it advisable, owing to the number of patents connected with Destructor Furnaces, to ask for plans and estimates from the principal patentees, and time had to be allowed for to be submitted.

A considerable portion of my leave at least one month - has been taken up in visiting Destructors, making enquiries, interviewing patentées and writing the Report, and I respectfully request- that I may be allowed full instead of half pay for this month's work.
